Happening this Friday – 13th of August -  at the Joseph Richards Lounge, Reach Magazine’s The Buzz Entrepreneurship Mixer will host entrepreneurs from all types of industries.The Event will showcase entrepreneurs that have been featured in the magazine, along side entrepreneurs that Reach Magazine hopes to feature in the near future.

When it comes to music, you will always catch me testing my rapping skills over T.Is Paper Trails, or “trying” to sing a duet with Heather Headly, as both artists blare out my 2 door Toyota Yaris SD. Even though i might try to rap or sing, i admit all i can do is try, BUT i am a man that knows his music.

I first heard of SonReal aka. Aaron Hoffman – yes Aaron – from Brittney Fisher. Described as an up and coming rapper that just moved to Vancouver, and so on..  – i must say that i wasn’t to interested in featuring SonReal on the ‘glamorous’ webpages of ReachMag.ca. However Brittney insisted, and i’m glad that she did.

I cannot sit here and try to explain to you why i believe that SonReal is one of the best lyricist i’ve heard in a long time. You have to listen to his music and find out why i have made such a claim yourself. I will note though that ever since i heard the song “Who I Am” by Mr Hoffman, i have been captivated by his flow, lyrics, and his unconventional ‘rapper’ image demeanor.

On the 1st of July 2010, SonReal dropped his free mixtape The LightYear Mixtape.   If you like your music, do yourself a favor and download it. I promise you will be captivated by every song on the mixtape. His story telling abilities – amazing… it’ll leave you yearning for more. With a list of impressive beats, and cool collaborations, i really believe that The LightYear Mixtape should be an album. One that i’ll be very happy to pay for.

I was invited to Agro Cafe by a couple of our twitter friends because they needed my expertise in judging a banana bread contest. After judging the contest, I ran into Michael Tao – founder of AskMeOutNow.com co-founder of Definemag.com –  and Erin Gee co-founder of Definemag.com and I decided to flip cam both of these cool young entrepreneurs.

Michael, an entrepreneur who discovered his passion for business at an early age had always felt that he was capable of more. He had a special way of seeing how the world worked, constantly analyzing things and coming up with ways to make them better. It was this way of thinking that led Mike to quit his 9-5 job and go into business by himself. Mike has been core to the success of Definemag.com, and as we anticipate the launch of AskMeOutNow.com, we can only expect great things from Mike.

Erin’s background in criminology and softball, constantly pushed her to be the best. With her competitive spirit and hard work ethic, she has been able to be successful in everything she’s tried her hand at. Erin’s attributes has been key to the growth of Definemag.com.

With a year of experience under his belt, Adrian Wu already has stories to write a biography twice over. Did we mention that he is just 19. This Sunday, Adrian Wu will be presenting his 2010 Fall/Winter pieces at the Vancouver Fashion Week.
